Practicing the Japanese martial art of Aikido provides one with significant challenges and rewards. Encompassed within this intelligent, effective and non-violent approach to self-defense are valuable physical exercise, mental discipline and insight into the human spirit. As one faces and overcomes these challenges, the natural result is improved self-confidence and sense of well being.

Our mission is to provide a venue for the serious study of Aikido. Whether you are an experienced martial artist, or are new to the martial arts, we invite you to come and watch a class. We’ll be happy to answer your questions. Aikidoka visiting Mumbai are always welcome to join us for practice.

Aikido of Mumbai (AOM) is a member dojo of the Aikikai Aikido Foundation of India. It is associated with the Aikido Hombu Dojo in Japan through the Aikido Aikikai Foundation of India.

Aikido of Mumbai was earlier known as the Aikido of Bombay (AOB). The seed of Aikido in Mumbai was germinated by Sensei Brian Reverman who was instrumental in ensuring that a strong foundation of Aikido was laid down. Sensei Brian Reverman left India in 2010 and since then the dojo is being run by DB Rai (DB Sensei).
