Our dojo has now started classes with special instruction for children above the age of 10. All children will be trained separately and will be started with exercises that will help them to build their stamina and flexibility.

We would welcome parents and children to come to our dojo to view some classes to get a better perspective about Aikido.

Aikido,is a Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba as a synthesis of his martial studies, philosophy, and religious beliefs. Aikido is often translated as “the Way of unifying (with)life energy” or as “the Way of harmonious spirit.” Ueshiba’s goal was to create an art that practitioners could use to defend themselves while also protecting their attacker from injury. This is a unique contemporary martial art representing ancient spirit and wisdom of the Samurai for Body, Mind and Soul. Practicing the Japanese martial art of Aikido provides one with significant challenges and rewards.
